The journal Baudrillard Now announces a call for papers for its new thematic issue: “Baudrillard After Baudrillard”


 Baudrillard explored the disintegration of universal systems, the disappearance of the subject, and the transformation of reality into a world of signs and simulacra.
 
 But what comes next? What emerges after the decline of mass culture, the universal consumer, a shared information space, and familiar models of society? This is why the key word of this issue is not simulacrum, but architecture.

We are interested in the forms of organization that emerge after the loss of universality: new environments and new models of knowledge, economy, space, subjectivity, and strategy. 
  The main areas of inquiry include:
— after universality;
— after simulacra;
— economy after consumption;
— the subject after the subject;
— space after space;
— psychology after psychology;
— science after disciplines;
— strategy after social institutions.
 
The thematic issue “Baudrillard After Baudrillard” invites authors to explore not only the end of the old world, but also the architectures through which a new one may emerge.
